We are searching for an experienced candidate to write and edit research reports covering business trends, socioeconomic issues as well as technology and innovation. Transform technical, quantitative and qualitative, analysis into compelling reports, and produce seamless narratives that integrate the perspectives of multiple collaborators. Create multi-platform content, including industry long form research reports, op-eds, articles, digital feature, social media posts, etc. Work with directors on conceptualizing ideas and 
structuring arguments during the research and analysis phase. Manage editorial process, coordinate production, liaise with and 
manage contract editors. 


Responsibilities include:

Critical writing 

              Write comprehensive reports reflecting a solid understanding of studies and analysis 

              Ensure that reports are properly structured and messages are coherent as to require minimal editing as a final product 

              Maintain an appropriate degree of professional scepticism by raising questions to effectively challenge the team’s                              analysis 

              Engage in brainstorming with the team, prior and during the editorial phase, work with directors on conceptualizing ideas                        and structuring arguments, and point out inconsistencies in logic / story if any 

Multi-platform content editing 

              Write / edit content for a wide range of audiences and media, and ensure content is well- written, logically structured,              and consistent with company formats, editorial guidelines and tone of voice. Such content includes: long form industry                     reports, op-eds, articles, digital feature, social media posts, etc. 

              Across all formats, prepare text for layout and confirm that graphics, illustrations, captions, and footnotes contain                              accurate information and are correctly formatted 

              Stay up-to-date and incorporate latest communication formats, styles and trends into deliverables 

Team spirit and collaboration 

              Foster positive relationships with team members and customers throughout all S& functions and levels 

              Work with the team, senior editor and markcoms to maximize the impact of the company’s external and internal reach                         and impact 

              Manage editorial process working closely with the senior editor, and liaise with and manage contract editors when                                 required 

              Remain connected with the global editorial team and stay abreast of thought leadership being produced globally, identify                     areas of synergy and avoid duplication 

Time and management 

              Complete tasks autonomously with minimal overview ensuring proper follow up and coordination with all parties 
                                   Organize time effectively, to meet changing and sudden demands and deadlines 
                                                                         Frequently update the director, senior editor marketing team on progress 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

              7+ years of writing and editing experience, with background in technical writing, business journalism and/or professional                       services 

              Native English speaker with strong written communication skills, adapted to different formats and audiences 

              Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills 

              Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time 

              Knowledge of ME regional dynamics 

              Preferred candidate also masters educated and can provide valuable editorial input
